Xerox Docuprint M760 Windows 2000 Installation instructions for USB Connection


PRIOR VERSION OF DRIVER EXISTS ON PC 
(this will need to be uninstalled before new driver is installed)

1. Power and USB cable are connected to the printer
2. Go to 'Start', 'Programs' and 'Xerox Docuprint M760'.  If no program group exists for 'Xerox Docuprint M760' (Skip to step 5)
3. Choose 'Uninstall Xerox Docuprint M760'
4. Choose 'Yes' for 'Are you sure you want to completely remove Xerox Docuprint M760 and all of its components?' DO NOT RESTART COMPUTER AT THIS TIME (Skip to Step 6)
5. Click Start, Settings, Printers, and right click the Xerox Docuprint M760 printer Icon and then select delete from the menu. 
6. Double click on the file downloaded from the internet 'm760usw2k.exe' 
7. Do not change any options in the installer.
8. Restart the Computer (RECOMMENDED)
9. User may have to Click 'Yes' to 'Microsoft Digital Signature Not Found' during the installation.

First Time To Install Xerox DocuPrint M760

1. Do not connect the printer to the computer yet.
2. Double click on the file downloaded from the internet 'm760usw2k.exe'.
3. Do not change any options in the installer.
4. Shut Down and restart the PC.
5. Connect the printer to the PC Via USB and Power the Printer.
6. It should find new hardware and install the printer.
7. User may have to Click 'Yes' to 'Microsoft Digital Signature Not Found' during the installation.

Notes:  
To To ensure Best print Quality Go to Start and Settings and Printers. Right Click on the printer and choose 'Show Status Window'. Choose the 'Maintenance tab' and choose 'Align'.  Follow the onscreen instructions.


TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS:

If you encounter problems during or after the install of the new driver try the following steps to re-install the driver.

1) Unplug USB cable from the printer
2) Uninstall the M760 printer driver.  Go to 'Start', 'Programs' and 'Xerox Docuprint M760' Choose 'Uninstall Xerox Docuprint M760'
3) Restart the PC
4) Double click on the file downloaded from the internet 'm760usw2k.exe' to run the installer
5) Plug in the USB cable, windows will install the driver.
