Attribute | Value |
---|---|
SRC | Name of DocuWorks file to embed |
WIDTH | Width of the DocuWorks file, in pixels (If omitted, depends on browser) |
HEIGHT | Height of the DocuWorks file, in pixels (If omitted, depends on browser) |
PAGE | Pages of the DocuWorks file (If omitted, page 1) |
SHEAF | Name of the document in the binder (If omitted, none) |
- | SRC must be specified. |
- | You can specify multiple attributes by entering a space to between them. |
- | The zoom rate of the display (or the print result) of the DocuWorks file is automatically decided by the specified width and height. It is displayed (or printed) by the specified width or height fitting to center of the window (or paper). |
- | The zoom rate available is between 10% and 1600%. If you specify a rate beyond this limit, an X mark is displayed (or printed) in the window (or paper) and the DocuWorks file is not displayed (or printed). |
- | If you specify a zoom rate near 10% and even if the DocuWorks file is displayed, only an X mark may be printed on the paper if the rate for printing falls below 10%. The same thing happens for specifying a zoom rate near 1600%. |
- | For PAGE, if you specify a page number which does not exist, the last page of the DocuWorks file is displayed. |
- | You can specify a page of the internal document by using SHEAF. If the specified internal document does not exist, the action will be the same as specifying sheaf="internal document name" in the URL. |
- | According to the specified width and height, the zoom ratio calculated may have slight error. In that case, the DocuWorks file may not fit to the width or height of the window. |
- | Tags other than the above one will not affect display of DocuWorks files. |

|
- | In Netscape® Navigator 4.0.x and Netscape® Communicator 4.0x, if you click the X button on the [Print Preview] window, the browser will abort. To avoid this problem, be sure to close the [Print Preview] window clicking the [Close] button instead. (1830) | ||||
- | In Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0x/5.5x/6.0x, when you try to open a DocuWorks file using the Open command from the File menu, the following will occur:
|
||||
- | In Netscape® Navigator 4.0.x and Netscape® Communicator 4.0x, if you log off Microsoft® Windows® with the DocuWorks file still displayed in full screen view or embedded view, the browser will abort. Therefore, be sure to close the browser before logging off Microsoft® Windows®. (2268) | ||||
- | In Netscape® Navigator, Netscape® Communicator and Netscape® 7.x, when the embedded page in display is being printed, using the Return or Reload command from the shortcut menu in the browser window will cause the browser to abort. Therefore, wait until the[ Print] dialog box is closed. (2284) | ||||
- | When using link annotations in DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web, files may not open successfully or the [Go to Page] function for a document or a binder may be invalid depending on the browser if an absolute path or a UNC path is specified in the [Link to a DocuWorks file] field. (4167,11545) | ||||
- | Depending on the application, the printing may be processed in the different order from the displayed text order. Because the text information within the DocuWorks document converted from those applications is held in a different order from the displayed text order, the search result may not be in the displayed order. (5572) | ||||
- | While downloading data with Netscape® Navigator, Netscape® Communicator and Netscape® 7.x, if you click [Cancel] on the dialog box that shows the progress of the download, the status bar and the [Stop] button on Netscape® Navigator, Netscape® Communicator and Netscape® 7.x will not be updated. (5640) | ||||
- | When viewing a site with CGI using Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0x/5.5x/6.0x, if you change the page of the document on display with the [Back] or [Next] button on Microsoft® Internet Explorer, you may see the message "The specified file is not a DocuWorks document." In this case, select [Download all data] on the [DocuWorks Viewer Light Control Setting] dialog box. (5731) | ||||
- | If you access a Web server with Netscape® Navigator, Netscape® Communicator and Netscape® 7.x and try to view a DocuWorks file on the server, you may see the message "The specified file is not a DocuWorks document." and fail to view the DocuWorks file. In this case, select [Download all data] on the [DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web Setting] dialog box. (5734) | ||||
- | If the browser software on Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP does not use a proxy server, the following troubles may occur:
|
||||
- | Depending on the settings of applications or fonts, characters may be printed as images. If this happens, the converted DocuWorks documents hold no text information and so cannot be searched using text search. (6537) | ||||
- | The byte-serving feature may not function when displaying DocuWorks files from a client on the Web server in DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web. This is because DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web adds the current time to the header information to communicate with the Web server. You can avoid this problem by setting the time of the Web server side later than that of the client side. (7233) | ||||
- | You cannot cancel the capture image operation in progress under Netscape® Navigator, Netscape® Communicator and Netscape® 7.x. (7564) | ||||
- | If a transparent annotation is layered over signatures, you cannot verify the signatures or other manipulations on the layered portion. (11172) | ||||
- | If you open a DocuWorks document in Netscape® 7.1 and jump to the Web page specified as a link annotation and it has 2-byte characters as the URL, Netscape® 7.1 may abort. (11429) |
- | In Netscape® Navigator 4.0.x and Netscape® Communicator 4.0x, after print preview, even if you refresh the window, the embedded DocuWorks file will not be displayed. (2213) | ||||||
- | When the display is switched from embedded view to full screen view, the first page will be displayed at 100% zoom ratio, and annotation display will always be turned on. (2216) | ||||||
- | In the following cases, a DocuWorks file embedded in HTML may be displayed or printed as "X" at the location where it is embedded:
|
||||||
- | If a DocuWorks file includes lines other than solid line (such as dotted lines and broken lines) created in Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP, when you display or copy the file in Microsoft® Windows® 98 Second Edition, Microsoft® Windows® Millennium Edition(Windows® Me), the lines may turn to solid lines or the space between the dots or broken lines may change. (4863) | ||||||
- | If you specify the URL of a DocuWorks file starting with "ftp://" on Netscape® Navigator, Netscape® Communicator and Netscape® 7.x, DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web cannot open the file as a DocuWorks file. (5719) | ||||||
- | In Netscape® Navigator, Netscape® Communicator, and Netscape® 7.x, object tags cannot be used. | ||||||
- | If you open and print a rotated DocuWorks file with Microsoft® Excel 2000 on Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP, Microsoft® Excel 2000 will print the file with its character strings not rotated due to the restrictions of Microsoft® Excel 2000. (5744) | ||||||
- | Depending on the display card used, the right edge of the body text may not be displayed in specific zoom ratio. If this happens, change the performance settings of the display card. (6992) | ||||||
- | When you display or print a DocuWorks document created by Microsoft® PowerPoint® or the like under Microsoft® Windows® 98 Second Edition, Microsoft® Windows® Millennium Edition(Windows® Me), textures and shading may be displayed or printed in different pattern from that in the original document. - | Under Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP, when you display a DocuWorks document created from a Quark Xpress® file in which images are rotated and pasted, white lines may be inserted in the images. (7618) | ||||||
- | Under Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP, when you display and/or print a DocuWorks document created from a Quark Xpress® file in which images are rotated and pasted, small black dots may be displayed and/or printed in parts of the images. (7622) | ||||||
- | If a URL address contains specified symbol 2-byte characters , DocuWorks files cannot be displayed on Microsoft® Internet Explorer. (11883) | ||||||
- | With Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and Windows® XP, it may take time to preview DocuWorks documents created from Microsoft® PowerPoint® documents that contain dotted lines or circles on DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web. For these cases, select [DocuWorks Viewer Light Control Options] or [DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web Options] from the DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web pop-up menu. Then from the [View] tab in the displayed dialog box, uncheck the box next to [Smooth the edges of characters converted to the bitmap format or graphics data]. (12001) |

- | To print a DocuWorks file, when in embedded view use the [Print] command from the shortcut menu, or when in full screen view, use the [Print] command from the shortcut menu or the Print toolbar icon of DocuWorks. (1833) | ||||||
- | When a document page displayed in full screen view is printed (using the Print toolbar icon or the [Print] command from the [File] menu of the browser), the following problems will occur: (1833,5626) | ||||||
- | In the [Print] dialog box, if you specify the number of copies to print to be less than 0, then depending on the OS the following error message will appear:
|
||||||
- | Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0x/5.5x/6.0x, if you print a Web page which is linked (or anchored) to DocuWorks file with "Print all linked documents" checked in the Print dialog box, all of the DocuWorks files will be printed as binary data. (5074) | ||||||
- | When a DocuWorks file is opened on Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5x/6.0x, you cannot successfully see its print preview and print it from the preview window. (5775) |
- | If an HTML file has four or more DocuWorks files embedded, the byte-serving function of Netscape® Navigator, Netscape® Communicator and Netscape® 7.x does not work. (5627) |
- | In the environment where the Web server is a Netscape® Enterprise Server and its client is Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, all the pages will be downloaded even if the byte-serving function is activated on the client. (5751) |
- | You may not be able to open a DocuWorks document stored in a Lotus Domino® server with Netscape®. In this case, specify [Download all data] on the [DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web] dialog box or use Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. (6366) |
