1. | Run the self-extracting file on the file server to generate the necessary files and directories. |
2. | In the login script of the file server, add the absolute path of "dwqd.exe". |
3. | To modify the default messages used in the installation, create the configuration file. |

2. | A dialog box appears and installation begins. |
3. | When installation ends, [Installation completed.] message appears. |
4. | In the Microsoft® Windows®[Start] menu, DocuWorks Viewer Light and DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web sub-menus are created. |

- | If an older version of DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web is already installed on your PC, install a new version by overwriting the older one. |
1. | If DocuWorks Viewer Light is already installed, its install directory will be used. However if DocuWorks Viewer Light 6.1 is already installed, the installation will be canceled. |
2. | If the INST_DIR entry in the configuration file exists with a value, then its value will be used as the install directory. However, if the directory cannot be created, then try steps 3 and 4 below. (See "7 Format of the Configuration File" for details on the configuration file format.) |
3. | If DocuWorks is already installed, then its install directory will be used. |
4. | If none of the above works, then <SYSDIR>:\Program Files\Xerox\DocuWorks will be used as the install directory. Here refers to the drive name on which Microsoft® Windows® is installed. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Xerox\DocuWorks). |
- | Uninstallation deletes files created during installation only; files created by users in the install directory are not deleted. |
- | Uninstalling DocuWorks Quick Distributor removes DocuWorks Viewer Light and DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web. |
- | If you are using Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP, make sure that you are a member of the administrator group. |
1. | From the Microsoft® Windows®[Start] menu, select [Control Panel]. |
2. | Click [Add or Remove Programs]. |
3. | In the [Add or Remove Programs] dialog box, select [Xerox DocuWorks Quick Distributor (VL/VL for Web) 6.1], then click [Change/Remove]. |
4. | When the [Confirm Uninstall] dialog box appears, click [OK] to begin the uninstallation. When uninstallation is completed, the [Uninstall completed] dialog box will appear. |
5. | Click [Finish]. |

(a) | Customer may install the Software on one network server at one time. |
(b) | Customer may use the Software to distribute the DocuWorks Viewer Light or the DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web to users ("the Users") of computers connected with the network server in which the Software is installed. |
(c) | Customer shall have the Users comply with terms and conditions which are described in the license document which the DocuWorks Viewer Light or the DocuWorks Viewer Light for Web contains. |
(d) | Customer may make one backup copy of the Software, provided the backup copy is not installed or used on any computer. Customer agrees that such copy shall contain copyright, trademark and other intellectual property notices that appear on or in the Software. |
(a) | Use or copy the Software except as expressly permitted herein; |
(b) | Modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software; |
(c) | Assign, rent or sublicense the Software to any third party; |
(d) | Delete or alter copyright, trademark and other intellectual property notices on or in the Software. |
(1) | License to use the Software will be automatically terminated in case that Customer fails to comply with any of the terms and conditions in this Agreement. |
(2) | Upon termination of license to use the Software, Customer shall immediately expunge or destroy the Software. |
(1) | This agreement is governed by the laws of Canada and the laws of Ontario. |
(2) | If any part of this Agreement is found void and unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the Agreement, which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms. |
