Select this option if you need to use a special dialing prefix to access an outside (public) phone line. For example, many corporate phone systems require users to dial "9" to bypass the internal phone extensions and access an external dial tone.
Timing pauses can be specified by
typing a comma (,) within the Dialing Prefix field.
Select this option if you want to bill the Fax call to a credit card. Check the Credit Card box, then enter the credit card number in the field to the right of the option. The Credit Card number will be appended to the end of the phone number(s).
You can add the "/" character before and after the credit card number to conceal it on the confirmation reports. In the example below, all the numbers between the "/" characters will be concealed during the fax transmission and on the confirmation page.
- Credit Card # : /123456789/
Dashes (-), spaces, or commas are NOT required within this field. Timing pauses can be specified by typing a comma within the Fax # field.

The Resolution feature enables you to select the resolution setting which the Document Centre System will use to transmit your document. The following resolution settings are available:
- Standard (200x100)
- Fine (200x200)
- Super Fine (400x400)
If the resolution you select is not supported by the receiving device, the Document Centre will automatically modify this setting to match a resolution that the receiving device is capable of supporting. The Fine resolution setting is the default.
Higher resolution Fax transmissions
consume more memory and take longer to transmit.
When this option is selected a Cover
Sheet (page) will be faxed with your document. The cover page will contain the
information you specify on the Cover Page tab within the Fax Setup dialog.
Forces the fax devices to send/receive
the fax at 4800 baud. This feature is typically used in areas where the phone
lines do not support faster transmission rates. "Forcing" the lowest baud rate
often results in fewer transmission errors in areas where the phone lines are
known to be inadequate for high speed fax/data transmission.
When selected, the Fax driver sends
a request to the device to print a confirmation report after the transmission
is completed. The printed report confirms that the Fax has been sent successfully.
